We think the best work is the best distillation of the best ideas. We find inspiration in a pizza so perfect it gives you goosebumps (2Amys in NW DC if you haven’t been you need to go now) and the multi-decade development of the Porsche 911.  Here you don’t find “blank slate” design, you find a much richer and timeless grinding away of distraction to make things that speak to your soul.

We love the excitement of a meal at French Laundry, or a toxic green Lamborghini, but for living life day in and day out- give us a crispy, yeasty pizza pie and a ragtop roadster with the engine in the back.

We design for living.  And we constantly strive for clarity, improvement, and refinement.  We apply a massive arsenal of knowledge and experience and relationships to bring results that are pure and timeless and comfortable.  We craft a team of Architect, Client, and Contractor and lead that team to serene completion through honesty, clarity, and precision.
We focus on houses because that’s what we love.  Small projects, big projects, any type of residential.  We obsess over the plans, the materials, the details, the furnishing and finishes and how they all come together to make a unified idea that speaks.
We’re not especially good at tooting our horn- but we don’t think you’ll find many firms performing at a higher level than us.
