Engineers and project managers are tough clients. They know what they want- but they don't design with an aesthetic eye- they approach with function as a hammer.

This project is in an old bungalow with an odd sized "eat in kitchen" that was composed of a tiny kitchen crammed into a corner and a small dining area in the middle of a larger space. And- 4 doors into and out of the room

Rather than radically reorganizing the layout we took a simpler approach. We put a dining table where the old kitchen was, and the kitchen in the larger space. The room became ordered, the traffic patterns channeled (no more kids running through the work area), Mom loved it, Dad loved it, the kids loved it. Simple Happy Kitchen.
